Safer Internet Day is celebrated around the world in February of each year, with Safer Internet Centres, Safer Internet Day Committees and other supporters in countries across the world, coming together to plan and organise events. Safer Internet Day 2025

In Australia, Safer Internet Day activities are coordinated by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner. Parents and educators alike can find ideas and activities to support our children in becoming safer internet users:  Safer Internet Day 2025 – For families

This year’s theme is, ‘Play it Fair Online’. Over the couple of years, our students have seen a marked increase in the use of technology in order to remain connected with family, with school, with each other.  At Mary Immaculate School, we will continue educating our students about the importance of being critical thinkers when online, of being creative and collaborative internet users, of the importance of communicating safely and above all else, furthering their skills in order to make safe choices and protect themselves in an online world.
